Celebration of 25 years of the Culture of Peace and Second Meeting of the Network
It was at the International Congress of UNESCO in 1989 in Yamoussoukro on the theme “Peace in the minds of men” that UNESCO adopted this vision where “Peace is more than the end of conflicts armed” and where “Peace is Behavior”.
Network Creation Meeting on 09/20/2013 in Addis Ababa
At the initiative of UNESCO and the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace, representatives of 26 foundations and research institutions working in the field of peace in Africa met on September 20 and 21, Headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. These organizations, with headquarters in some 20 countries on the African continent, have decided to form a network to coordinate their respective actions and implement common projects.
