Message of Congratulations to Mrs. Yvette Dembélé on her appointment to the Government of Burkina Faso

Dear members of the Network,

I am very pleased to inform you of the ministerial promotion of Mrs Yvette Dembélé, an active member of our Network. She was appointed Secretary of State to the Minister for Women, National Solidarity and the Family, in charge of Social Affairs, Persons with Disabilities and the Fight Against Exclusion of the new Government of Burkina Faso.

In your name, and in my own name, I extend our warm and hearty congratulations. I wish him every success in his new role. It can already count on the members of our Network. Good morning, Madam Minister.

Dear members of the Network,

At the beginning of the new year, it is particularly pleasant for me to extend my best wishes for health, prosperity and peace. May 2016 be a year of peace and justice. That our Network has other successes in the promotion of peace in Africa and in the world. We must mobilize for the success of the Biennial Culture of Peace to be held in 2016 in Angola. Messages from Condolences following the death of Prof. Kenneth Hamwaka, Member of the Network

To all members of the Network,

We are deeply saddened to announce the death of a prominent member of the Network, Professor Kenneth Hamwaka. It is a great loss for Malawi, its homeland and our Network because of its great intellectual and human qualities.

In this painful circumstance, on behalf of all members of the Network, we express our sincere condolences to our family and our saddened sympathy.

May his memory help us remain true to our commitment to African youth and the cause of peace.

Dear friends of the culture of peace,

At the beginning of 2015, we wish to keep you informed of the actions taken by UNESCO in favor of the culture of peace in Africa!

UNESCO has committed itself, as part of its "Operational Strategy for Africa Priority", to the implementation of the flagship program "Promoting a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence" with other organizations and individuals in order to create together a Pan-African Movement for the Culture of Peace in Africa.
